I don’t recite poetry I just rehearse it in my head Just like most every conversation That I’ve ever had Rewrite after rewrite Red marks cloud the margin Battle scars of a dream state Skinned knees of prose
It’s not so much the cliché Innocence to experience But now I know a little better I know a little of knowing nothing I still question every other line (Be it on eyelid, in letter, or down spine) Yet I’m happier now my stockings are torn Yes I’m better now that they’re torn

The Love of Wisdom

So I've started a new series. It is entitled "The Love of Wisdom"
This is, as you my well know, the translation of the Greek philosophia
You have probably guessed by now that the series has something to do with philosophy, eh? Very logical, o reader mine.
The twist is that the poems are composed to be read as love poems. So far I've got a rough/first draft up of "(and you, reader)". It was only written tonight, though, so it will probably be revised in the near future. I'm also fretting over the final touches to "eudaimonia", which is actually what got me started on the whole idea.
Also, for the sake of my own amusement, and due to the similar theme of combining the rational and emotional elements, my preview images for this project are all respectably taken from Chester 5000 XYV

I am very excited for all of this. Take that, writer's block!
